If you’ve visited the site before, things might look familiar, but under the hood, we’ve just made a significant upgrade. We have officially transitioned from a static HTML site to a custom-built WordPress platform.
Why the Change?
While the original site served us well, a creative journey is always evolving. Moving to WordPress allows me to take advantage of several key benefits:
- Real-Time Updates: This new blog section allows me to share behind-the-scenes stories, music updates, and thoughts directly with you without needing to write a single line of code.
- A Scalable Foundation: As my music and career grow, I wanted a site that could grow right along with me. Whether it’s sharing new photo galleries from recent shows, managing a busier event schedule, or even opening a little digital shop one day, WordPress gives me a solid and flexible home base for all of it.
- Custom Design Preservation: The original site fit my style very well. I knew it would be difficult to transition to another, more complex, content management system, but the site isn’t a simple modification. It is a full fledged bespoke creation.
- Performance and SEO: By using modern WordPress best practices, we can insure that the site is fast, mobile-responsive, and easier for new listeners to find.
